Welcome to D103 PTO
Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) of District 103 is a volunteer-based non-profit organization focused on supporting our schools to enhance the learning process for our children. We accomplish it in several ways. More about it here.
We need you! Please join our team - one of the best and most direct ways to participate in your child's school days.

Sprague School & Half Day School
Join our 3rd and 4th graders for recess
Please take a moment to look at your schedule and support our Indoor Recess at Half Day School by supervising our 3rd and 4th graders from 12:00 to 1:00. It's one of our easiest volunteer shifts available, and truly benefits both our kids and our teachers. You are only called in case of inclement weather (students stay inside for recess if the combination of temperature and/or wind chill is 5 degrees or below). Even if you are not a Half Day parent, we would love to have you! To view available positions and sign up, click on Sign Up Genius button below.
Annual 3rd grade World's Fair coming - volunteers needed
The 1893 World's Colombian Exposition is coming to Half Day on April 15. Step back in time to the legendary Chicago World's Fair where we transform the Half Day Cafeteria to the "White City" and the Gym to the "Midway." Third graders will visit informational booths and engage in hands-on activities.
Last year over 60 volunteers made it possible to execute this social studies program. We need your help! Please volunteer to help create a special event for your child. Since this is a Half Day tradition, most of the materials are already on-hand at the school to lead the booths, games, etc.
Please use the Sign Up Genius button below or contact Co-Chairs Veronica Woolson at firstname.lastname@example.org or Robin Babbo at email@example.com.

Recognize the teacher!
On December 12, 2014 Jill Wechselberger (DW Teacher) received a Symetra “Heroes in the Classroom” Award from the Chicago Bears. Sherri Thomas’ son nominated her. Pat Mastores (Sprague Teacher) received this same award earlier in the year based on a parent/student nomination. We are lucky to have such an amazing staff at our schools. If you are interested in recognizing someone, please consider the following opportunities to do so (just to name a few):
Do you know of any other awards? Contact us and we'll list them here too!
