Welcome to D103 PTO
Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) of District 103 is a volunteer-based non-profit organization focused on supporting our schools to enhance the learning process for our children. We accomplish it in several ways. More about it here.
Described in one of her 6 nominations as “the Kevin Bacon of D103 volunteers”, Jane Ernst received the 2013/2014 PTO Volunteer of the Year at our April board meeting. The accolades were impressive, not only because of her long list of involvement, but because of the testimonials to her character. Her family surprised her with flowers and joined the board in helping us celebrate this beloved member of the D103 family. You can access the letter highlighting her nominations as well as other nominations on D103's Virtual Backpack. Thank you Jane for all you do!
News and reminders
Explore The Arts Day
Our wonderful Cultural and Fine Arts Committee successfully organized Explore the Arts Day at Sprague School, an annual event which allowed our K-2nd Graders to experience a wide array of art sessions: from soap making, leather stamping, and painting, to acting, dancing, drumming and music making. Check out the pictures here: etad2014.weebly.com.
THANK YOU to all the Parents who have generously supported PTO and made this $50,000 donation to the district possible. Through the fundraising initiatives PTO is excited to contribute these funds to the Sprague Playground project. The D103 Community and the local business have been strong supporters of the fundraising initiatives: Membership, $103 for 103, Spirit Wear, School Supplies, Book Fair, Pizza lunch, Camp Fair and our 5K. THANK YOU Families! Please check out our website for a list of our Premier Partners and $103 for 103 families!
