Mark your calendars! On Thursday, April 23rd, Half Day School is bringing the 4th Grade Illinois State Fair to life. This beloved event invites students on a hands-on journey through Illinois' rich agricultural heritage, exploring everything from farming and manufacturing to how local government works. And yes, there will be baby chicks. 🐣

Through interactive displays and activities, students come away with a genuine appreciation for the industries and institutions that make Illinois such a special place to call home. It's one of those days kids talk about long after it's over!

We can't pull it off without you. We're looking for volunteers to help make this day a wonderful experience for our 4th graders. We'd love to have you join us!

On Friday, April 24th, we are excited to welcome Joanna Ho, the wonderful author best known for her book “Eyes That Kiss in the Corners,” to meet with our Sprague students!

We are looking for parent volunteers to help throughout the day to ensure her visit is warm, organized, and welcoming for our students. Volunteer roles may include light set-up, greeting, and general support during the event. Even a small amount of time can make a big difference in creating a special experience for our school community.
