DW and the PTO, in conjunction with Anderson's Bookshop, are excited to welcome author Struan Murray on Monday, Oct. 26. Mr. Murray will talk with sixth-graders about his career as an author and discuss his new book, Dragonborn: The Twilight Child.

ALL grade levels are invited to purchase the new release, Dragonborn: The Twilight Child and/or the first book in the series, Dragonborn, to be signed by Struan Murray on the day of the event! To guarantee a personalized, autographed copy of these titles, please place your order through the RevTrak Web Store by Monday, Oct. 26.

During the month of November Sprague students will be learning the concept of “empathy”. Sprague and the PTO have partnered with Vernon Township this Thanksgiving season to give back to those in need. 

Each classroom will be assigned an item to collect. When everything is collected Sprague will turn them into the township where they will create Thanksgiving baskets for those families in need. 

Classroom teachers will be emailing their classes with which item they will be collecting. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Half Day families: the Fun Fair returns Friday, January 22, 2027! 🎡

Here’s your first mission: don’t toss that leftover Halloween candy! Those fun-size treasures are about to get a second life as Fun Fair prizes. Stash it, save it, and drop it off at the Half Day front office. 🍬

Want to be part of the magic? We’ll be calling on lots of volunteers to make this day unforgettable. Watch this space in the coming weeks for the sign-up details. Many hands make Fun Fair work!
